Job description
- Develop and maintain financial modules to support strategic decision-making and business planning processes.
- Collaborate with consultants to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for financial planning and analysis.
- Manage company assets effectively, including investments in subsidiaries and associates.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators, to senior management.
- Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, including market volatility, regulatory changes, and economic trends.
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities to enhance financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Lead the preparation of detailed long and short-term business plans.
- Oversee the preparation of periodic shareholders reports.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
- Carry out any other activities as and when required by the reporting manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent.
- FMVA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA certified will be advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum - 8 years of experience in financial functions, including a minimum of 2 years at managerial level.
Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and lead teams.
