Job description
- Develop comprehensive production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet production targets and customer demands.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, procurement, and logistics, to gather requirements and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Monitor production processes and evaluate production capacity to ensure efficient execution of production plans.
- Continuously optimize production workflows, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity through effective resource allocation and scheduling.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to uphold product quality, consistency, and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality-related issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage and allocate resources, including human resources, equipment, and materials, to optimize production efficiency.
- Assess production capacity, identify resource gaps, and implement strategies to enhance production capabilities.
- Monitor equipment performance, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure the availability of necessary tools and supplies for uninterrupted production.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety throughout the production facility.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures and safe work practices to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste minimization within the production operations.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and techniques to improve production efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
- Carry out any other activities as and when required by the reporting manager.
Qualifications:
- Education Level – Minimum - bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management or equivalent.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification will be advantageous.
Experience:
- 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years at a managerial level in a similar function.
Competencies:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Excellent technical knowledge of dates.
- Lean manufacturing principles.
- Continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
