Job description

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and recommend repairs or replacement as necessary.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to avoid breakdowns and downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts and materials used and time spent on each job.
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed, including responding to emergency maintenance request clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery as required.
  • Operate all equipment, hand tools, and power tools as required and authorized.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
  • Carry out any other activities as and when required by the reporting manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Diploma degree in mechanical, electronics or in a related field, any additional professional technical qualifications will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 0 - 3 years’ experience in the field will be an added advantage.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
