Role Objective

Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods toensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of packing lines to ensure that products are packaged according to specifications. Use packing checklists to confirm that all procedures are followed accurately.
• Monitor the packaging process for adherence to food safety practices, identifying areas for improvement. Ensure that all packaging materials meet required safety and quality standards.
• Inspect incoming packaging materials to verify they meet quality specifications. Conduct tests as necessary to ensure the integrity and suitability of materials used.
• Carry out inspections during all activities, including unloading, receiving, storing, transferring, processing, production, packing, finished goods storing, loading, and dispatch. Ensure compliance with food safety standards at each stage.
• Conduct inspections of warehouses to ensure the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principle is followed, maintaining product freshness and quality. Verify that food safety guidelines are always adhered to.
• Inspect flour mill, feed mill, Premixes and grain storage facilities to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards. Monitor cleanliness and proper handling procedures.
• Check Critical Control Points (CCPs) to ensure that monitoring and corrective actions are properly implemented. Report any deviations immediately.
• Perform regular testing of raw materials and finished products in accordance with standard operating procedures. Share results with concern units and address any inconsistencies.
• Inspect equipment and machinery used in processing and packing to ensure they are clean, well- maintained, and functioning properly. Report any maintenance or sanitation needs.
• Monitor hygiene and safety practices in production areas, ensuring compliance with established food safety protocols. Conduct checks on employee adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Follow sampling procedures during receiving and production to ensure representative samples are collected for testing. Follow guidelines for sampling frequency and methodology.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and audits to ensure traceability and compliance. Organize documentation for easy access during internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with team members to address food quality and safety issues, assisting in implementing effective corrective actions. Foster open communication within the team.
• Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and food safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Adhere to guidelines for handling food products and equipment.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of food safety, quality control, and inspection processes. Seek opportunities for continuous improvement and professional development.
• Be willing to work in shifts, including evenings and nights. Demonstrate enthusiasm for taking on additional responsibilities, including working during public holidays.
• Strictly follow company policies and procedures in all tasks, striving to uphold the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Education: (Minimum)

Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or relevant science fields..

Experience: (Years and nature of experience)

• Fresh graduate with strong knowledge and will of working in Food Industry.
• Candidates with experience in Food Industry will be preferred.
