1. Job Purpose

This role is responsible mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users. In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of network administration and architecture. 2. Main Tasks & Accountabilities

Task Description

Security and Governance • Establish regular reporting mechanisms for measuring compliance and performance.

• Develops metrics that demonstrate the current risk state, indicators of progress, and business alignment

• Support Continuous Monitoring initiatives to drive enforcement, oversight, and improvement of security controls implementation through automation

• Perform quality reviews on identified risks to drive adherence to policy and playbook requirements

• Provide guidance to technology owners on the execution of security and compliance requirements, related processes and playbooks, and usage of related systems and tools

• Assist business and process owners with remediating risks (including Audit Identified Issues, Self-Identified Issues, Risk Identified Issues, and Regulatory Issues) and achieving compliance with multiple policies and standards

• Partner with tech and security teams and to review and challenge identified risks, remediation plans, progress and status, and drive action as needed

• Monitor and oversee performance against Key Risk Indicators, including “Path to Green” plans

• Drive the successful achievement of business goals, including timely identification, escalation and remediation of risks and issues that impact program execution and delivery

• Active participation during the identification, remediation, and oversight of technology issues/ risks; including action plan development and execution.

• Create, review, and implement ICT policies.

• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness

• Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)

• Communicate with users when needed

• Maintain complete technical documentation

• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability

• Analyzing workflow and security requirements and establishing the network.

• Evaluating network performance issues and installing and testing equipment, connections, and firewalls.

• Defining the policies and procedures for the network.

• Monitoring and analyzing the network and troubleshooting any problems.

• Fine-tuning the network to enhance the performance for users.

• Implementing, monitoring, and evaluating security protocols.

• Training the office staff on the safe and secure use of the network.

• Testing, evaluating, and installing network enhancements to regularly update the network.

• Keeping accurate documentation and records on the network.

• Participating in educational activities regularly to keep your knowledge up to date.

3. Person Specification (Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience)

Education Level –Minimum Requirement • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security / Information Technology / Computer Science.

• Professional Qualifications (Preferred)

• Strong knowledge of security certification and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, CEH, CCSP).

• Knowledge of cloud-based models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and technologies used to implement controls within these environments.

Work Experience • 6+ years of security and governance, risk, and compliance experience for a large and complex organization.

4. Position Location

• To be based in Muscat Office and travelling to Business operational units whenever required.
