Job description

1.  Job Purpose    
This position is responsible for assisting in ensuring appropriate storage of finished goods, disposing waste/non-conforming finished goods and maintaining clean storage premises according to set procedures and standards.


2.   Main Tasks & Accountabilities
Task    Description
Stock control    •    Mange stock inventories 
•    Ensure proper documentation for receiving of finished goods 
•    Dispatch finished goods to depots/whole sellers/retailers
•    Ensure that products received and issued to depots/whole sellers/retailers
tally with other records
•    Ensure accuracy of product inventories against system records by conducting cycle counts on a periodic basis
•    Evaluate and analyze inventory discrepancies, and immediately resolve them
•    Implement preventive countermeasures to reduce inventory variance
•    Keep stock control system up to date 
•    FEFO
Hygiene and safety of finished goods store/warehouse    •    Enhanced levels of hygiene in finished goods store/warehouse
•    Ensure company assets/machinery in the finished goods store/warehouse are regularly maintained/serviced 
•    Ensure safety in finished goods store/warehouse by monitoring stacking and clearing gangways, and adhering to SHE requirement
 

3.  Main Contacts and Working Relationships
Internal    CEO, Chiefs, Head of Departments.
External    Vendors, Suppliers, Media agencies etc.


4.   Person Specification  (Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience)  

4.1: Education Level –    Minimum Requirement    •    Diploma degree in Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain, Strategic Planning and or Production Management 
•    Proficient in MS Office
4.2: Professional    Qualifications
    •    Certification in supply chain 
•    Valid driver’s license
4.3: Work Experience    •    3 years of experience in warehousing, logistics or scheduling
•    Experience in FMCG/Dairy industry desirable
4.4: Job Specific Skills    •    Thorough knowledge of State and Federal Safety, Environmental and Health policies
•    Thorough knowledge of warehousing activities
4.5 Generic Skills
    •    Must be alert, strive for accuracy, and have ability to exercise independent thinking and judgment, be a self- motivator, and attention to detail
•    Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
•    Integrity, discretion and loyalty


5.   Position Location  

•    All depots 
•    Travel domestic and international
