Job description

1.  Job Purpose    
This main purpose of this position is to ensure smooth farm operations by focusing on yard maintenance by scrapping, levelling and harrowing the corrals and the yards.
2.   Main Tasks & Accountabilities
Task    Description
Yard Maintenance    •    Ensure Slurry is properly scrapped from the corrals and the yards.
•    Ensure the barns are levelled and no pits for water lodging.
•    Ensure yards are well raked and harrowed.
Milking parlor cleaning.    •    Ensure milking parlour holding pens and cow travel lanes are scrapped.
Maintain a Tidy Workplace    •    Store machinery away in the correct place; put tools and equipment away where they belong as soon as practical after finishing the task requiring their use 
•    Dispose-off rubbish appropriately 
•    Maintain open area around the yard.
Other Tasks    •    Comply with all Company policies and procedures. 
•    Perform all the other tasks and activities as assigned. 
Quality, Health, Safety, Security & Environment    •    Responsible and be in alignment with the safety rules and procedures as per MAZOON QHSE Policy.
•    Ensure all relevant quality, health, security, safety, and environmental policies, procedures and controls are adhered to so that employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service and a responsible environmental attitude can be guaranteed.
•    Ensure that incidents and hazards are reported in a timely manner and reduce consumption of natural resources to assist in protecting the environment and ensuring a healthy and safe work environment.

4.   Person Specification  (Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience)

Education Level –    Minimum Requirement    •    No educational certificate is required.
Professional    Qualifications
    •    Large farm training certificate as a yard groomer 
Work Experience    •    Overall experience of 8 years in large dairy farms.
•    Strong understanding of the Middle East culture
Job Specific Skills    •    Ability to work in adverse weather conditions 
•    Familiarity with dairy farm conditions and equipment used
•    Basic skill for operating equipment and carrying out daily tasks (Tractor w/bucket, Kubota, Pitchfork) 
•    Intimate knowledge of electrical, plumbing, welding, fabrication and automobiles/machines used at farms
•    Familiar with operations of scrapping off cow dung/urine  to maintain hygiene
•    Team player with excellent motivational skills

•    To be based in Al Sunainah or any Mazoon farms within Oman
