Job description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Director – Stakeholder Management is responsible for leading Oman Food Capital’s stakeholder engagement, corporate communications, and administrative functions. The role ensures effective communication with key stakeholders and alignment with business mandates, while overseeing administrative operations including facilities, travel, PRO services, and employee support. The Director also contributes to strategic initiatives by integrating business development insights, supporting cross-functional projects, and ensuring that governance principles are embedded in stakeholder and communication practices.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Stakeholder Relations & Strategic Alignment
- Develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with government entities, OIA, regulators, and strategic partners to support policy alignment and information flow.
- Communicate business mandates clearly to external and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.
- Represent the company in external forums and high-level engagements.
- Develop Stakeholder Interdependency Manual capturing Oman Food Capital’s inter-relations with its stakeholders’ requirements by Identifying the requirements of each Unit within Oman Food Capital from the Portfolio Companies.
- Ensure Oman Food Capital’s internal units and its subsidiaries' roles and responsibilities including interaction with external parties and stakeholders (i.e. shareholders) are clearly captured.
Business Development & Governance Integration
- Support strategic partnerships and identify collaboration opportunities that contribute to business development.
- Ensure governance frameworks are applied to stakeholder, communication, and admin-related processes and documentation.
- Actively contribute to strategic projects requiring stakeholder collaboration, policy alignment, or external partnership development.
- Demonstrate financial understanding to ensure alignment of stakeholder activities with the company’s financial priorities and reporting requirements.
Corporate Communications
- Oversee internal and external communications strategy and delivery.
- Supervise communications activities including media relations, branding, digital content, executive messaging, and internal campaigns.
- Lead the planning of staff engagement events and communication platforms to reinforce organizational culture and objectives.
Administration & Office Operations
- Manage the administrative team to ensure effective delivery of:
- Government relations (PROs) and visa processing
- Facilities and office services
- Travel management and logistics
- Front office functions including reception and driver coordination
- Ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness of all administrative services.
Project Management and Change Support
- Contribute to and/or lead cross-functional initiatives that require stakeholder and communication alignment.
- Provide oversight and support to projects requiring coordination with external partners, vendors, or regulators.
Leadership and People Development
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring performance, development, and alignment with company values.
- Create a service-oriented, agile, and collaborative team culture across stakeholder, admin, and communication functions.
Other Duties
Undertake any additional responsibilities or strategic assignments as directed by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
- Master’s degree or equivalent is an advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, or corporate affairs, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-functional teams including communications and administration.
- Strong background in working with senior government stakeholders or large investment groups is an advantage.
