Job description

•    Develop and implement comprehensive operations strategies that align with the company's growth plan, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, service reliability, and the ability to scale with increasing volumes, Balance cost, service, speed, and quality across the entire network.
•     Ensure scalability and resilience of operations to support growth in volumes, product categories, and geographic markets, including readiness for export market requirements.
•     Develop and maintain business continuity plans, including contingency protocols for seasonal peak periods, supply disruptions, and climate-related operational risks.
•     Own Supply Chain risk management and business continuity.
•     Oversee manufacturing and processing facilities, ensuring operational efficiency, throughput optimization, and compliance with food safety standards including HACCP, FSSC 22000, and export market certifications.
•     Lead sourcing and procurement strategy for agricultural products and operational inputs, establishing supplier relationships that ensure quality, reliability, and cost competitiveness across local, regional, and international sources.
•     Oversee logistics operations including warehousing, cold chain management, fleet operations, collection, fulfillment, and distribution, ensuring product integrity from farm to customer.
•     Develop and maintain cold chain infrastructure and protocols to preserve product quality, extend shelf life, and meet export market requirements for temperature-controlled logistics.
•     Plan and execute seasonal operations, including harvest logistics, surge capacity management, and temporary labor coordination during peak production periods.
•     Establish and enforce enterprise policies, protocols, and SOPs for procurement, logistics, inventory management, end-to-end traceability, food safety, and phytosanitary compliance for export markets.
•     Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of operational technology systems, ensuring data integrity and leveraging analytics for performance optimization.
•     Drive optimization through ERP, WMS, TMS, demand planning, and analytics tools.
•     Own operations budgets including CAPEX and OPEX, drive asset utilization optimization, and deliver cost efficiency improvements while maintaining service levels.
•     Establish and monitor operations KPIs including inventory turnover, order fulfillment rates, on-time delivery, cost per unit, supplier performance, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and working capital efficiency metrics.
•     Collaborate with the Company’s leadership in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure integrated demand-supply alignment and inventory optimization.
•     Ensure quality assurance across all operations, maintaining product standards that meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and export market specifications.
•     Build leadership depth, succession pipelines, and organizational capability within the Supply Chain sector.
•     Provide strategic insights and operational performance reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors and engage with the shareholder ecosystem on operational excellence initiatives and capital investment decisions.
•     Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the CEO to support the company's strategic objectives.

Qualifications

•     Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or Business Administration or equivalent.
•     Master’s degree (MBA or Operations Management, or Supply Chain) strongly preferred.
•     Professional certifications (CSCP, CPSM, Lean, Six Sigma) are an advantage.

Experience

•     Over 12 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing, including at least 8 years in senior or executive leadership roles with accountability for end-to-end operations across sourcing, production, and distribution. Experience in food, agribusiness, or perishable goods industries is essential.

Competency

•     Proven track record in designing and executing operations strategies across sourcing, manufacturing, processing, warehousing, and distribution, with demonstrated results in cost reduction and service improvement.
•     Experience managing cold chain operations for perishable goods, including temperature-controlled storage, transportation, and quality preservation protocols.
•     Experience with seasonal operations management, including harvest logistics, surge capacity planning, and workforce scalability during peak periods.
•     Strong knowledge of food safety management systems (HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000) and export compliance requirements including phytosanitary protocols and fumigation standards.
•     Proficiency in operations technology platforms including ERP, WMS, and TMS, with demonstrated success in leveraging data and analytics for operational decision-making and continuous improvement
•     Demonstrate ability to lead operational transformation, including process redesign, capability building, and performance turnaround in growth-stage enterprises.
•     Experience engaging with Governments, regulators, research bodies, and international partners.
•     Experience in multi-country sourcing and export logistics.
•     Strong knowledge in Efficiencies, Lean, Supply Chain optimization techniques.
•     Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
•     Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in dynamic operational environments.
•     Commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and ethical operational practices, with understanding of ESG considerations in food and agricultural operations.
