• Define and execute the long-term agricultural and origination strategy aligned with corporate growth, vertical integration, and export requirement.

• Act as the principal agronomic and agricultural systems advisor to the CEO and Board.

• Lead agricultural innovation, precision farming, protected agriculture, and applied R&D.

• Oversee the stewardship and optimization of the company's biological assets, ensuring long-term value preservation and yield maximization across all cultivated plantations.

• Develop scalable farmer partnership and origination models to secure sustainable supply.

• Oversee all agricultural functions including plant production, plant nutrition, farm operations, agricultural projects, R&D, and farmer partnerships.

• Lead large-scale agricultural investments (land development, greenhouses, irrigation, technology adoption).

• Drive the adoption of digital agriculture technologies including precision irrigation, remote sensing, and data-driven agronomic decision-making systems.

• Establish enterprise standards for crop protocols, water efficiency, pest management, biosecurity, and ESG compliance.

• Ensure agricultural operations meet export-grade quality standards, including phytosanitary compliance, traceability protocols, and international certification requirements

• Align agricultural output with downstream supply chain, processing, and commercial demand.

• Collaborate with the Company’s leadership in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure integrated demand-supply alignment.

• Build strategic partnerships with research institutions, regulators, and global agribusiness players.

• Own agricultural CAPEX and OPEX budgets, establish and monitor performance KPIs (including yield productivity, cost efficiency, and asset utilization), and lead continuous improvement programs to enhance operational performance.

• Build leadership depth, succession pipelines, and organizational capability within the agriculture sector.

• Ensure crop quality, yield optimization, and operational efficiency through data-driven planning and continuous improvement practices.

• Develop and enforce policies, protocols, and SOPs for sustainable farming, irrigation, pest and disease management, and health & safety compliance.

• Manage budgeting and procurement for agricultural inputs including seeds, fertilizers, equipment, and related resources.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the CEO to support the company's strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Horticulture, or equivalent.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Agronomy, Agricultural Systems, Plant Science, or Sustainability preferred.

• Executive education in strategy, ESG, or agribusiness leadership is an advantage.

Experience:

• Over 12 years of progressive experience in agriculture or agribusiness, including at least 8 years in senior or executive leadership roles overseeing large-scale, multi-site agricultural operations. Experience in arid or semi-arid climate agriculture is essential.

Competency:

• Proven experience in commercial farming systems (open field, protected, perennial crops).

• Track record in agricultural investment projects and modernization initiatives.

• Experience with perennial crop management, particularly date palm cultivation or similar long-cycle agricultural assets, is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated success in applying technology and data-driven agronomy.

• Demonstrated ability to manage agricultural transformation programs, including operational turnarounds and capability building in growth-stage enterprises.

• Track record of successful engagement with government entities, sovereign stakeholders, international partners, and regulatory bodies in agriculture.

• Experience in arid or semi-arid agricultural systems.

• Familiarity with GCC agricultural export requirements, including phytosanitary standards, fumigation protocols, and market access certifications.

• Strong knowledge of crop production, plant nutrition, soil management, and pest control strategies.

• Ability to drive agricultural strategy, manage operational risks, and oversee large-scale agricultural projects.

• Strong ability to lead cross-functional agricultural teams, make informed agronomic decisions, and manage change in dynamic environments.

• Strong knowledge in plant propagation and nursery management, with specific expertise in tissue culture techniques and commercial-scale offshoot production.
